Privacy Policy
Last updated October 2, 2026
This policy explains what OUTHERENOW collects, why, and the choices you have. We don't sell your information and we don't use it for advertising or tracking.
What we collect
Account: your email address, used to send sign-in codes.
Profile: the name, photo, bio, activities and interests you choose to add.
Things you post: spots, camps (including camp photos), reviews, "I'm out here now" check-ins, line posts, camp memberships, reports and blocks.
Approximate location: if you allow it, the app uses your location to center the map. For nearby alerts we save only your rough area, rounded to about 1 km. We never store your exact location.
Notifications: if you turn on alerts, we save a push token for your device so we can send them.
Support messages you send us from the app.
How we use it
To run the app: show spots, camps and who's out now, send sign-in codes and nearby alerts, keep members safe, review reports, and respond to support messages.
Your name, photo, bio, activities, interests and the things you post are visible to other signed-in members. Your email, rough area and push token are never shown to other members.
Services we use
Supabase hosts our database, sign-in and photo storage. Resend delivers sign-in emails. Expo and Apple deliver push notifications. They process data only to provide these services to us.
How long we keep it
Check-ins and line posts expire on their own within 12 hours. Everything else is kept until you delete it or delete your account.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, delete what you've posted, turn off alerts, and turn off location or notifications in iPhone Settings at any time.
Delete your account from the Me tab. This permanently deletes your profile, photos, reviews, check-ins, line posts, camp memberships and the camps you started. Spots you added stay on the map without your name.
To ask for a copy of your data or for help with anything here: Use Contact support on the Me tab in the OUTHERENOW app.
Age
OUTHERENOW is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
